Can I view the ABCNEWS collection online?

Yes, the collection is available in a text based search engine called MARS.  In the near future we will be adding a video component to our search engine. 

Can I get my screening cassettes digitally?

Yes, we can deliver your custom built screener via our FTP site or yours.    

Do VideoSource clients have access to screening facilities?

Yes, our office in New York offers Research and Screening accommodations.   Our office hours are Monday – Friday from 9am to 5pm.    We require that you make an appointment with one of our account executives.          

Can VideoSource do footage research for me?

Absolutely, please contact us with your request and our research team will complete your research for you.    

How does VideoSource license footage?

License fees are calculated based on the rate per second (which is based on the markets you are clearing) multiplied by seconds of clean footage ordered.  Prior to shipping clean footage, a sales order will be generated which we will ask you to sign.  In some cases, credit card prepayment may be required. 

Please note that a 30 second minimum is standard for all programs.      

Can I order footage for personal use?

ABCNEWS VideoSource does not directly sell footage to the public or provide footage for personal viewing.  

How can I obtain transcripts and DVD’s of ABC News programs?

Does VideoSource license content from other divisions within ABC?

VideoSource licenses the B-Roll shot by ABC NEWS.  We do not license footage from the other divisions within the Walt Disney Company. 

Why do I need to register in order to use the search function of this site?

Our content is the property of ABC and other License Holders.  We make this content available to you for research purposes free of charge and in exchange we require that you accept the terms and conditions in order to access our content. 

How long does it take after I register to get my login?

Most requests are processed within 1 or 2 hours during standard business hours.
